The latest Corruption Perception Index report, published by Transparency International, has been released, with South Sudan listed as the most corrupt country in East Africa whilst Rwanda was rated the least corrupt.

Tanzania came behind Rwanda with Uganda and Kenya tied in third, whilst Burundi was rated only slightly better than South Sudan.

Rwanda was also the only East African country to score above the global average rate of 43 out of 100, after it scored 54 points (compared to 12 from South Sudan).
