UK to unveil new Africa development strategy

The UK government has signed 11 trade deals with African countries, as it prepares to unveil a new development strategy for Africa later today.

The move comes as the UK prepares to leave the EU next week and as African leaders have gathered in London today for a UK-Africa summit, aimed at boosting relations between the island nation and the continent.

DfID (Department for International Development has said that the investment will focus on digital technologies, green energy and women entrepreneurs.
